Topic: Your Life is Just A Vapor

This morning my alarm went off and I immediately got up. As I was leaving my bedroom, I either thought or heard this which is a paraphrase because I was still sleepy –

The significance of life is measured by helping people.

My weekend was full of emotion and insight on life. I realized a lot of things which I will not get into this morning. But the essence of it is this……….

Life is short and fleeting. Our unresolved emotions from the past have a way of resurfacing in our everyday and choke the life out of you whether you realize it or not.

I saw how those emotions have played out in the lives of people too afraid to live not fully realizing that life will eventually end.

We waste a lot of time. Our lives are not measured by all the stupid stuff we chase after, cling to, or worry about, our lives are simply measured by helping people.

In the Bible, it says that our life is but a vapor – we are here for a little while and then we are gone.

Use your time wisely, submit yourself to God and ask Him to heal you and help you work out and manage those emotions you thought were pushed down and hidden.

Below are some Bible scripture to encourage you.

Have a great day and help somebody.

James 4:14-15, Yet you do not know what tomorrow will bring. What is your life? For you are a mist that appears for a little time and then vanishes. Instead you ought to say, “If the Lord wills, we will live and do this or that”.

Psalm 39:4-6, “O LORD, make me know my end and what is the measure of my days; let me know how fleeting I am! Behold, you have made my days a few handbreadths, and my lifetime is as nothing before you. Surely all mankind stands as a mere breath! Selah. Surely a man goes about as a shadow! Surely for nothing[a] they are in turmoil; man heaps up wealth and does not know who will gather!

2 Samuel 14:14, We must all die; we are like water spilled on the ground, which cannot be gathered up again,

Ephesians 5:15-17, Look carefully then how you walk, not as unwise but as wise, making the best use of the time, because the days are evil. Therefore do not be foolish, but understand what the will of the Lord is.
